I can learn hours on a testAnd if I think that I know everything very well
I will let my mom test me
Because she thinks it makes me more self-confident

Yesterday I still knew everything, it keeps ringing in my head
That's called fear of failure, they say and it will pass in the long run
But I get upset inside at every test
Even though I'm sure I know something, yet I don't understand why
I can't get that down on paper, but then I feel so stupid
And what everyone says well meant to me
Usually doesn't work out well for me
It's not just at school that I suffer from it
But also with sports I notice that almost every time
Then I doubt what others think of me
I think then, soon they will rant at me too
Although I also know that they really won't
And fidget nervously at the lace of my shoe
And my mind wanders, my stomach ache comes back around the corner
One thing I do know, my self-confidence is gone again
That is called fear of failure, they say, but it gets less in the long run
I'm sure I will learn to live with it, it's just in my nature
Even though I'm sure I can do more, yet I don't understand why
I can't get that fear out of my head and then I feel so stupid
What everyone says well meant to me

Even though I doubt every day
I don't give up and I fight on time and time again
Although I'm not equally skilled with everything
Fortunately, I sing pretty well anyway
