They're both just completely gone
- 1. This line is a pretty clever pun by Knorkator, and was not in the original poem that these lyrics are derived from. 'Damen und Herren' is a phrase that means 'Ladies and gentlemen' in German. However, since 'Damen' sounds like 'Daumen', and 'Herren' sounds like 'Scheren', we get the nice play on words where 'Thumbs and scissors' (Daumen und Scheren) sounds like 'Ladies and gentlemen' (Damen und Herren).
