For toads there is no better life
For toads there is no better life,
Than in the swamps breeding and dying,
While there above the skies are flying
The eagles - sight's as sharp as knife.
The paddock's croak, their muck and bile
Flow up as steams right to them flying,
But when they fall to toads, they're crying:
'Your swamp is felt abroad the mile!'
But toads are busy with their dump,
They've never listened to the eagles,
Waiting for death, as uncanned pickles,
Amidst their native stinky swamp.
And them observing from the heights,
The eagles lost the hopes for better
For toads to let alone their matter
And to renew their narrow sight.
