I'll think about it tomorrow

She walked in
On the stairs someone gazed
Her strange clothes
She leaned her shoulder on the door saying:
'We have split up'
I watched two tired eyes
And her face wet with rain
'I don't know,' she told me, 'I do not know
how to get out of it, I don't know '.

I looked at her
And I had a flicker of pity
Because she seemed lost
'I wish' she told me 'I wish it was not like that
But it's really over '
The she said
Hardly finding a smile:
'By the way, I wanted it.
You know,
I never miss the ways to hurt myself '.

Then she told me the story that I already knew
From the last time it was possible to feel
She was more alone, more mean

She calmed down
Looked around and talked about to me,
drinking several times.
She lay down in the middle of the cushions and told me:
'I was the strongest with you'.
Then she said, chasing a thought:
'It's true, I was fine with you
And if I were a woman who comes back, it's here I would return'

Then we had dinner here
I asked her, 'What do you do tomorrow?'
Rain was tapping on the balconies
She replied: 'I'll think about it tomorrow'

I woke up
In the morning and I heard her voice on the other room:
She was speaking in English
I looked at her
She had the phone in her hand and the coffee
And it didn't surprise me.
I accepted the quick smile
And the face of someone who 's not remaining
'If you can,' she told me, 'if you can
Never change the way you are '

Then she left in the way I already knew
A cab was passing by, she jumped into it
'Take care of yourself,' I thought by myself.
